Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Clear tables efficiently by bussing and resetting for new guests
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues quickly
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately and process payments efficiently
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns professionally and courteously
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including bar, dining room, and host/hostess stations
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and cashiering
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment with strong time management skills
- Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation enhances guest interactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Effective communication skills for guest relations and teamwork
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience is highly desirable to foster guest engagement
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
