Seeking a Full Time & PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the in-house team at Tampico Terrace Care Center, a beautiful SNF in Walnut Creek, CA! Prefer 1 year of experience in a LTC/SNF setting.
Responsibilites:
Treat patients as directed by licensed Occupational therapist. Demonstrate a positive attitude and team building approach with all patients, clients and team members. Maintains productivity standard as determined by supervisor and clinical needs. Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations. Treat patients according to treatment plan. Record clinical documentation according to accepted regulatory and professional guidelines. Record daily treatment charges per approved billing guidelines. Instruct families and nursing staff regarding restorative/home programs as directed by staff therapist. Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems and plans.

COTA Responsibilities:
- Provide recommendations for home modifications and adaptive equipment with training as needed.
- Ensure all treatment delivered is in accordance with the established plan of care.
- Monitor patient response to treatment intervention and modify treatment approach and directive as clinically appropriate with IDT collaboration.
- Provide clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
- Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care is provided.
- Ensure documentation is completed thoroughly and timely and complies with all company and state/federal regulatory requirements.
- Complying with all rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.
- Associate's degree or greater - Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Valid Occupational Therapy Assistant License & In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
