Lifeguard (Seasonal)
The Tampa Yacht and Country Club is looking for our seasonal Lifeguards. The position would start March starting out as Afternoons and Weekends Only, and at the end of May the team would transition to Weekdays as well as Weekends through the beginning of August.
Position Summary
Implement all water safety policies and procedures. Supervise members and guest in and around the swimming pool.
- Supervises and observes swimmers at all times to ensure their safety
- Administers care to swimmers with minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises
- Maintains amenities as needed
- Enforces rules of conduct at the pool
- Checks first aid supplies and reports items needed
- Organizes and monitors pool games at all times
- Sets out appropriate rescue equipment in the morning and returns equipment when pool closes (end of shift)
- Maintains all necessary records determined by the club
- Attends bi weekly meeting with Director of Club Operations
- Implements all pool and safety equipment
- Preforms required pool preopening duties
- Informs Director of Club Operations about member or guest disruptions
- Performs cleaning/shocking of the pool as needed
- Performs any other appropriate tasks as assigned by Director of Club Operations
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (Required)
- Lifeguard Training (Required)
