Landscape Crew Foreman / Driver

We are looking for a dependable, experienced Landscape Maintenance Crew Foreman / Driver to take responsibility for a single landscape maintenance crew and company truck.

This is a hands-on working foreman position. You will lead your crew in the field while also working alongside them to make sure each property is completed safely, efficiently, and to Tampa Turf Services standards.

Responsibilities:

Drive company truck and trailer safely to and from job sites
Supervise and work alongside a landscape crew throughout the workday
Organize the crew and assign work at each property
Ensure scheduled properties and assigned work are completed correctly and efficiently
Perform commercial landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, string trimming, blowing, shrub trimming, and general property cleanup
Monitor the quality of the crew’s work before leaving each property
Identify landscape, irrigation, plant-health, or property issues and report them to management
Ensure equipment, tools, and materials are accounted for and properly cared for
Perform basic daily checks of the assigned truck, trailer, and equipment
Enforce company safety procedures and safe equipment operation
Communicate professionally with supervisors, customers, and other employees
Keep the crew productive and on schedule throughout the day
Maintain a professional appearance and represent Tampa Turf Services appropriately while on customer properties

Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
Experience driving a truck with a landscape or equipment trailer
Previous professional landscaping or lawn-maintenance experience strongly preferred
Previous crew-lead or foreman experience preferred
Ability to safely operate commercial landscaping equipment
Ability to lead employees while still working as part of the crew
Dependable attendance and ability to arrive on time every day
Ability to work outdoors in Florida heat and changing weather conditions
Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the day
Ability to lift and carry landscaping materials and equipment
Good communication and basic organizational skills
Ability to follow work orders, schedules, and instructions from management

We need a foreman who doesn’t simply tell others what to do. You will be working with your crew, setting the pace, checking the finished product, and making sure the job gets done correctly.

Reliability, leadership, productivity, and attention to detail are extremely important in this position.
