- Execute and evolve a multi-year data, analytics, and AI strategy aligned to Peoples Gas digital priorities
- Continuously adapt the strategy as technology and AI capabilities evolve to maximize value realization
- Establish a federated data and analytics model that enables speed, consistency, and business ownership
- Lead enterprise data governance, quality, and stewardship in partnership with IT and business leaders
- Ensure data is accessible, reliable, secure, and compliant with regulatory, privacy, and cybersecurity requirements
- Chair or co-lead a Data Governance Council that drives accountability and standards
- Oversee development of analytics, reporting, machine learning, and AI solutions that deliver actionable insight
- Advance predictive and prescriptive analytics to support safety, asset health, leak detection, capital planning, and workforce optimization
- Guide responsible adoption of Generative AI and automation to improve productivity and decision-making
- Serve as a trusted partner to executives and business leaders—translating complex data into clear, compelling insights
- Lead enterprise dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting tied to safety, reliability, efficiency, and customer outcomes
- Build self-service analytics capabilities and data literacy across the organization
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of data scientists, engineers, analysts, and visualization experts
- Foster a culture of curiosity, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Partner closely with Process Improvement, Change Management, and IT to ensure adoption and sustained impact
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field is preferred
- 10 years of experience leading data, analytics, or AI initiatives in complex organizations
- 5 years of people leadership experience
- Proven expertise in enterprise data strategy, analytics, and governance
- Strong technical fluency across data platforms, analytics tools, and AI/ML concepts
- Ability to influence senior leaders and translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Utility, energy, or infrastructure industry experience
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications (AI/ML, cloud, data engineering)
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Snowflake) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Sigma)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and formal change management methodologies
- Highly collaborative, enterprise-facing leadership role
- Office-based with strong partnership across Operations, IT, Process Improvement, and executive leadership
