What are the responsibilities and job description for the Proofreader position at Tampa Cardiovascular Associates, P.A.?
JOB SUMMARY:
The Medical Records Editor/Proofreader is responsible for proofreading all office progress notes created by the providers. Must accurately audit progress notes, reports, and patient letters with attention to detail. Must be knowledgeable in medical language/terminology (cardiology a plus) and EMR programs (EClinical Works experience a plus). Position is part time and done in our office not in a remote setting.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Proofread and review office progress notes with accuracy.
- When necessary, works with transcriptionist and/or provider regarding report details, clarification, addendums, etc.
- Fax all office progress notes to relevant providers.
- Review and address all electronic messages in a timely & efficient manner.
- Create reports using existing Microsoft Word templates from worksheets completed by provider.
- Create letters as directed by the transcriptionist and/or provider.
- Carries out all other assigned responsibilities by the supervisor.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
