The Role

You’ll get to work with your hands and provide important support for the management team with the newspaper delivery operation.
Pay Rate / Schedule Requirements:
- $17.00 per hour. Working 2 nights a week, earn between $272 - $340.
- This is a 3rd shift position. (16-20 hours a week)
- Schedule varies by center. Typically work between 10pm and 8 am

Duties
- Assists in the opening and/or closing of the delivery center/warehouse.
- Stages newspapers on tables for newspaper carriers.
- Utilizes computer skills to print various delivery documents. Training provided.
- Possesses excellent communication skills to interact with staff and newspaper carriers.
- Assembles and delivers newspapers to open delivery areas.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s license
- An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Reliable transportation and auto insurance
- Must be able to safely perform all physical requirements including:
- Walking, standing, stooping, and kneeling, reaching, and twisting
- Utilize pallet jacks to move newspapers Repeatedly lifting newspaper bundles up to 30 lbs. and similar physical movements
Vaccine Requirement:
Workplace safety is a value of the Tampa Bay Times . Because of this, the Times requires its staff to be vaccinated against COVID-19. New employees must be vaccinated by the first day of employment unless they secure a medical or religious exemption accommodation from the Times beforehand.
