What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camera Shader/Utility position at Tampa Bay Rays?
A Camera Shader/Utility for the Tampa Bay Rays is a game day position that works as a part of Raysvision to execute the in-house shows during all Tampa Bay Rays home games. The Camera Shader/Utility is responsible for coloring and shading broadcast/ENG cameras and assisting the team with any other production needs. The Camera Shader/Utility plays a key role in enhancing the game day entertainment experience for fans. The incumbent must be flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced environment wherein critical thinking and the ability to effectively follow direction are essential.

- Attend and contribute to pre-production meetings each game
- Work with technical staff to satisfy production needs for daily live productions.
- Work with the game day Director, Technical Director and Camera Operators to fax out cameras.
- Assist with wireless belt-packs and batteries.
- Verify functionality of camera equipment and coms.
- Verify the correct channel is going out to concourse TVs during pregame, gameplay and breaks.
- Maintain situational awareness during the entire game and inning breaks.
- Follow leads from game day Director and Producer
- Work with the control room team to execute high quality shows
- Provide general support to the Game Presentation Department
- Other duties as assigned.
- Prior experience with sports, events or live production
- Experience running a camera, preferably a broadcast/ENG camera with the ability to problem solve issues
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to work the entire event including pre- and post-game activities
- Aptitude and desire to continue training at the next technical level
- Serve as fill-in for other positions as needed (i.e. Camera, Graphics, etc.)
- Knowledge of MLB rules and very strong understanding of baseball
- Works well in fast-paced/live event, high pressure situations
- Act as a role model within and outside the Rays Organization
- Adhere to Rays Organization Policies and Procedures
- Must have reliable transportation and live in the Tampa Bay area
- Applicants must be 18 years or older
