The Director of Corporate Finance will be a member of the Vinik Sports Group Finance Department and will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and operational excellence of the organization. This position is responsible for delivering clear, data-driven financial insights that guide executive decision-making and support long-term business goals. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical acumen with leadership skills to oversee critical financial processes while ensuring accuracy and transparency in reporting.
As a strategic partner to senior leadership, the Director will foster collaboration across departments, champion process improvements, and leverage technology to enhance financial systems and reporting capabilities. In a dynamic, fast-paced environment, this role requires adaptability and a hands-on approach. The Director will also mentor a high-performing team and drive initiatives that strengthen financial discipline and innovation throughout the organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models to support planning and scenario analysis
- Lead the annual budgeting and semi-annual forecasting processes
- Work closely with department leaders to gather input, validate assumptions, and align financial targets with business objectives
- Collaborate with budget owners to analyze monthly reporting, evaluate significant variances, and proactively recommend actions to meet business goals
- Work with Accounting to ensure accurate financials and support preparation of monthly reporting packages and financial analytics for senior management, executives, and ownership presentations
- Support the annual audits
- Assist in treasury management
- Collaborate with NHL on various topics
- Develop and mentor a high-performing financial team, fostering continuous improvement and innovation
- Leverage and build upon existing systems to create more robust financial models and reports
- Perform special projects, as needed
Supervisory & Management Responsibilities

Game/Event Responsibilities
- Game/Event Night responsibilities: limited

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics
- 7-10 years of professional experience; 2-4 years of direct people management experience
- Advanced technical Excel skills required as well as proficiency in other Microsoft Office software.
- Experience working with multi-dimensional database technology (Oracle EPM or equivalent technology)
- Strong technical skills and thorough understanding of professional finance and accounting terminology and techniques
- Ability to build strong relationships and instill trust with colleagues
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written); excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills; excellent organization skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop people
- Capable of discretely handling confidential matters and information
- Strong attention to detail, excellent planning skills, and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment and as part of a team, taking on tasks at all levels
- MBA degree preferred
- Experience working with Sage Intacct preferred
Working Conditions
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in office and arena environment that can be exciting, loud and distracting
- This is an onsite role; flexibility to work a minority of time remotely.
- Ability to work extended hours including late nights, holidays, and weekends as needed
- Ability to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperatures
- Ability to commute/travel within the Greater Tampa Area and the US for up to one-week at a time
