Responsibilities
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and quickly
- Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries
- Upsell products and promote special offers to increase sales
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stock levels
- Stock shelves and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and inviting
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with accuracy
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking and replenishing merchandise
- Support supervising staff as needed in overseeing daily store operations
- Not allowed to be on cell phones while working unless it’s work related
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cashiering procedures
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
- Ability to perform retail math for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts
- Experience in grocery or retail sales environments preferred
