Tammie Coe Cakes is looking to hire for our North Scottsdale Commissary Kitchen. Our ideal candidate will be a hard-working, self-motivated, team player. You will be responsible for the daily sandwich and salad production and packaging of cookies / pastries.
~ Food Prep & baking role: Part Time.
~ 6 am - 2 pm.
~ 24 hours per week.
~ Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays. Additional days as needed/on-call.
~ Role is about 90 % Sandwich and Salad making/Food Prep with baking as needed. You would be preparing sandwiches, salads, & snack boxes. Slicing Meats & Cheeses, prepping veggies, & other prepared foods. Helping with shop upkeep and cleaning, washing dishes. Packaging large amounts of foods daily, receiving shipments, and putting away stock. Must move quickly in a production style kitchen to accomplish making large amounts of food. Lifting boxes that are roughly 60 lbs in small tight spaces, would need to be able to lift 60 lbs with no issues. We lift 60 lb boxes multiple times per shift.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain consistency of product with attention to food quality, taste, and preparation
- Aid and assist wherever needed
- Responsible for organization and cleanliness of workstation and food prep
- Responsible for fast paced preparation, production, and packaging of salads, sandwiches, & pastries for high volume airport kiosk
- Operate meat/cheese slicer safely and efficiently
- Shift is 6 am to 2 pm
- Previous kitchen experience is needed
- Weekends are required and holidays are needed
- Able to follow directions and recipes
- Assist in high volume production of cookies-mixing, shaping, baking
- Prep ingredients, batters and dough for production
- Bake-off cookies, cakes, cupcakes and other desserts
- Mix out batters according to recipe
REQUIREMENTS
- Available mornings from 6 am to 2 pm
- Previous bakery experience is required
- Pleasant demeanor and can-do attitude
- Strong work ethic with a desire to learn new skills
- Flexible schedule- weekends and/or holidays required
- Lift 60 pounds daily, multiple times per day
- Able to stand for long periods, up to 8 hours
- Reliable transportation
- Must meet standards for personnel hygiene and appearance
- Must speak and understand English
- Valid Food Handler’s Certification
