TAMKO is seeking a Team Leader to work at our manufacturing facility in Columbus, Kansas. The Team Leader is responsible for leading and supporting manufacturing operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and consistent production of quality non-woven resonated and non-resonated products. This position provides day-to-day direction to production employees, promotes a strong safety culture, monitors product quality, coordinates resources, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational goals.

- Lead and support production personnel to achieve safety, quality, and production objectives.
- Report all incidents/accidents, personnel, maintenance or material issues to your supervisor.
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, etc.
- Oversee and assist with Spunbond production
- Inspect TQCS throughout the shift to verify good quality control.
- Operate forklifts, rewinders, and other production equipment as required.
- Cut and sample test doff, enter data into TQCS.
- Inspect finished goods to ensure quality control.
- Provide process improvement ideas and assist in their implementation.
- Troubleshoot material transfer system to help minimize downtime.
- Perform proper start up procedures to increase safety and reduce waste.
- Promote team concept with all personnel.
- Assist North Plant, Shipping, Maintenance, and Lab when needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has supervisory responsibilities.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to position himself/herself to operate, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and/or or maintain heavy plant equipment. This may require climbing stairs/ladders, bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting and/or stooping. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and may occasionally lift or move heavier objects with assistance.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work around moving mechanical parts, at elevated heights, where dusts and fumes could be present in the air, with or in proximity to chemicals, in hot environments, around electrical equipment, and in a loud environment. The employee must have the ability to understand and mitigate these and other risks, including by following all prescribed safety rules, and must have the ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, if necessary.
