Description

Tamayo Federal Solutions, LLC, a Department of Defense contractor, is now hiring a Database Administrator to support the customer and shall provide system administration services to the Government for both physical and virtual hosted applications. You will provide all services necessary to ensure the efficient operation of all physical and virtual servers. You will support Government requirements to maintain data center computing, storage, and networking capabilities at Government data centers and within associated commercial cloud environments. You would be supporting Naval Sea Systems Command, Shipyards, and Industrial Base agencies associated with workforce and workload management, logistic services, business operations, and total force initiatives. The current task focus is in the area of process and performance improvement and project management. The work is located at the Navy Shipyards in Norfolk, VA, primarily working onsite, with some flexibility for limited telework as the project permits.

TFS is looking for a Database Administrator at the mid-career level to join the team. As a Database Administrator you will performs one or more of the following tasks in support of computer database administration: architects, designs, oversee the development of, or administers computerized databases, installs the applicable databases onto the appropriate computer operating systems, creates databases, configure databases (for a data warehousing application), use import utilities to install databases. Includes creation of Indexes, Clusters, Snapshots, Views, and other database objects, as well as, management of Rollback Segments, Data File Size, and all the other aspects related to the performance tuning of databases.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• May lead and direct the work of others
• Write code for update queries, update data dictionaries as new fields are added to the database and maintain a data correction log
• Create and maintain data correction logs that identify the date the correction that was performed, tables and fields effected, submission effected, error code effected, and other pertinent metadata
• Expand and update the data dictionary for the database and any related applications
  
  

Requirements

Your background should include the following based on level

Experience Requirements

• 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
• Bachelor's degree in the field or in a related area
  
  

Security Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required
• Candidate must be Secret Clearance Eligible
