Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain readiness of COOP facilities, emergency supplies, equipment and operational resources to ensure availability for immediate activation and sustained emergency operations.
- Maintain and test secure and nonsecure communication systems, emergency notification platforms, executive contact rosters and calldown procedures to support continuity and incident response operations.
- Develop, update and manage COOP plans, SOPs, checklists, essential records inventories, succession documentation, delegations of authority and related program records in accordance with agency requirements.
- Assist ICC operations and coordinate communications and information sharing with internal leadership and external partners, including Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Federal Protective Service (FPS), National Weather Service (NWS) and first responders during exercises and realworld incidents.
- Coordinate and support continuity and emergency management training, tabletop exercises, drills and fullscale exercises, including logistics, facilitation support, documentation, lessons learned and After Action and Improvement Plans.
- Track new directives, policies and operational requirements affecting continuity and emergency management programs. Prepare implementation plans, impact assessments, crosswalks, timelines and resource recommendations.
- Produce accurate and timesensitive reports, taskings, status updates and program correspondence to support emergency operations, leadership decisionmaking and compliance reporting requirements.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in emergency management experience OR relevant law enforcement or military experience demonstrating ability to support emergency management operations.
- Must possess and maintain an active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Must possess the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced emergency management and continuity operations environment, while maintaining professionalism during highvisibility incidents and emergency activations.
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Provide proof of citizenship using the I9 form and supporting documentation.
- This position requires moderate physical activity, including lifting and moving materials up to 50 pounds, frequent walking and standing, and regular stair use within a threestory facility to support operational readiness and equipment movement.
- Comprehensive knowledge of emergency management, Continuity of Operations (COOP), incident response principles and continuity planning requirements, including emergency preparedness and operational readiness practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, emergency communication systems, notification procedures, essential records management and Incident Command System (ICS) concepts and practices.
- Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with internal leadership, interagency partners, emergency responders and stakeholders during exercises, activations and emergency operations.
- Skill in analyzing directives, policies and operational requirements to develop implementation plans, impact assessments, reports and program documentation with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders and external response agencies, maintain accurate operational documentation, and prepare timely reports.
