- Responsibilities/Duties:
Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, store, and distribute medical and
surgical supplies and equipment according to established protocols and manufacturer
instructions for use (IFUs).
Safely operate and maintain sterile processing equipment in accordance with manufacturer
guidelines.
Monitor, interpret, and document physical, chemical, and biological indicators for all
sterilization processes.
Prepare and distribute surgical case carts based on physician preference cards and perioperative
needs.
Receive, inventory, stock, and rotate supplies used to support sterile processing services.
Follow all safety procedures when handling cleaning agents, supplies, and equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of sterile processing work areas.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
One year of sterile processing experience preferred, but not required.
On-the-job training provided for applicants without prior experience, consisting of online
coursework and hands-on training with a preceptor.
Certifications required within one year of hire:
Central Supply Processing Department Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central
Service Technician (CRCST)
Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS)
Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER)
All required certifications must be maintained annually
