What are the responsibilities and job description for the Geologist position at Tamarack Geological Services?
About the Role:
- Prepare, move, wash, photograph, and tech drill core for logging
- Conduct geological and geotechnical logging of core and RC chips using acQuire
- Record detailed lithology, alteration, mineralization, and structural observations
- Perform QA/QC insertion, sample preparation, tracking, and assay shipment coordination
- Maintain sample inventory and proper storage procedures
- Oversee core shed organization and assist with pallet movement as needed
- Upload and organize logging data, scanning, digitization, and database records
- Participate in daily communication with geology staff and support field operations
- Follow all mine safety and environmental procedures
What We're Looking For:
- 2–4 years of core logging and exploration data management experience.
- Proficiency in core logging and managing exploration data.
- Familiarity with Leapfrog software for drill hole trace updates and data manipulation.
- Ability to interpret geological data and write detailed descriptions for senior management reporting.
- Reliable transportation is essential.
- Current MSHA certification is a plus.
- Adaptable, outdoorsy, and thrives in dynamic work environments.
- Comfortable with the cyclical nature of the industry, work hard, play hard mentality.

Pay: $400.00 - $450.00 per day
