Job Summary
Our Production General Laborers will assist with various tasks within our manufacturing process.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assure equipment is set up appropriately for the scheduled production size or mix, change as necessary to support fulfillment of the production schedule.
- Perform equipment audits at scheduled intervals and when performance dictates, recording results.
- Respond appropriately to audit results and alarms with machine adjustments, report adjustments or changes to satisfy alarm criteria.
- Maintains the yield efficiency goal levels set forth by management.
- Perform preventative maintenance on machines as needed or assigned.
- Maintain open communication between production shifts and maintenance, this may include shift overlap and/or written documentation such as logbooks or journals.
- Contact maintenance if equipment issues cannot be resolved; provide feedback to supervisor and maintenance regarding any equipment or process concerns.
- Comply with company safety policies, quality, standard operating procedures (SOP), HACCP and good manufacturing practices (GMP) guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentage calculations.
- Some knowledge of electrical and mechanical procedures
- Overtime may be required on occasion.
