Role Description
The Aquatics Director - Day Camp is a full-time seasonal, on-site role located in Randolph, NJ. This role involves overseeing all aquatic programming, ensuring a safe and fun environment for campers and staff. Responsibilities include managing swim instruction, organizing swim lessons, supervising lifeguards, and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines at the camp’s aquatic facilities. The Aquatics Director will also work closely with counselors and specialists to integrate swimming activities into the daily program and maintain high standards of safety and engagement.
Qualifications
- Experience in swim instruction, swim lessons, and swimming
- Proficiency in aquatics management and program planning
- Certified lifeguarding skills and knowledge of water safety standards
- Strong leadership, management, and organizational abilities
- Previous experience in a camp setting or working with children is a plus
- Relevant certifications, such as Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid, are required - Lifeguard Instructor, Lifeguard Management, Water Safety Instructor, and/or Certified Pool Operator preferred. We can cover recerts.
