Employment Status: Part-Time (20–35 Hours Per Week)
Location: Morganton, North Carolina

Position Summary
The Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Qualified Professional (QP) provides outpatient behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. This part-time position (20–35 hours per week) requires clinicians to provide high-quality, trauma-informed, evidence-based treatment while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, licensing board, Medicaid, and insurance regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments.
Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives.
Provide individual, family, couples, and group counseling.
Utilize evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Informed Care.
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Complete documentation within agency-established timeframes.
Provide crisis intervention and safety planning when clinically indicated.
Coordinate care with physicians, psychiatrists, schools, hospitals, and community agencies.
Participate in treatment team meetings, case consultations, and agency trainings.
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and North Carolina law.
Maintain professional licensure and required continuing education.
Participate in clinical supervision if required by licensure.
Meet established productivity standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
Active North Carolina LCMHC license.
Master's degree in Counseling or related behavioral health field.
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA)
Active North Carolina LCMHCA license.
Master's degree in Counseling.
Eligible for board-approved supervision.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Active North Carolina LCSW license.
Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
Qualified Professional (QP)
Meets North Carolina Qualified Professional requirements.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Services or a related behavioral health field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience providing outpatient behavioral health services.
Experience treating trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and substance use disorders.
Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
Knowledge of Medicaid and commercial insurance documentation.
Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR).
Crisis intervention experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria.
Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to establish therapeutic rapport.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and client-centered care.
Knowledge of HIPAA, ethical standards, and North Carolina behavioral health regulations.
Work Schedule
Part-Time (20–35 hours per week)
Monday through Friday
Flexible scheduling based on client and agency needs.
Some evening appointments may be required.
