Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic friendly, reliable, and energetic Bilingual Cashier (English & Spanish) to join our team! In this role, as the face of the restaurant, you’ll provide excellent customer service while handling orders at the register, and ensuring a clean and welcoming dining environment. Our ideal candidate is a team player with a positive attitude, able to multitask in a fast-paced setting, and committed to creating a great experience for every guest.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm, friendly attitude (in both English and Spanish as needed)
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Perform stocking duties to ensure shelves are well-organized and fully stocked.
• Maintain cleanliness in the dining area during service (wiping tables, sweeping, etc.)
• Engage in upselling techniques to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy in transactions and register balances.
• Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and sanitation
• Uphold phone etiquette when responding to customer calls or inquiries.

Skills

• Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish (required)
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
• Experience with cashiering and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Familiarity with retail sales practices, including merchandising and stocking techniques.
• Ability to handle cash responsibly and maintain accurate records of transactions.
• Previous experience in a restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
