Responsibilities
- Oversight of all operational aspects of a large, geographically- dispersed portfolio of residential multi-family properties.
- Leads, develops, and motivates employees at all levels of the organization but directly oversee Regional Vice Presidents of Operations, VP of Marketing, and VP of Compliance.
- Continues to build and enforce Company culture.
- Ensures alignment with corporate objectives by participating in the development and implementation of the Company’s strategic planning, financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
- Effectively partners with and communicates regularly with Corporate leadership, including members of the Asset Management, Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, and Legal departments.
- Works closely and collaborates with the Head of Asset Management to execute property business plans, including developing leasing and team strategies that will maximize revenues, profitability and tenant satisfaction.
- Responsible for the development, refinement and implementation of standardized operating procedures and performance metrics across the portfolio to ensure best practices are in place and to maximize property performance.
- Conducts thorough financial analyses, risk assessments, and market research to identify opportunities and mitigate potential market challenges.
- Maintains comprehensive knowledge of macro and submarket micro economic drivers, industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices to inform decision-making and strategy development.
- Provides effective oversight and leadership to the Vice President of Operational support and various support groups that include Compliance (that functions to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements related to properties in government affordable housing programs, such as LIHTC and PFC), Marketing, Property Transitions and Software/Products.
- Provides effective and timely communications with the Board and COO of Post Real Estate Group.
Qualifications
- 15 years of experience in multi-family real estate with an emphasis in affordable housing and/or PFC deals.
- Prior experience in owner/operated management structure.
- Strong leadership skills with a minimum of 10 years in a leadership role and the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve outstanding results at a geographically-dispersed property management company with 15k units.
- Commitment to integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct in all aspects of the role.
- Exceptional analytical abilities, project management skills, and attention to details, with a track record of effectively reviewing and interpreting complex financial models and analyses.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive plans to achieve Company objectives.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools such as Excel.
- Ability to develop, grow and maintain relationships with property owners, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
- Prior experience working in a parent-subsidiary company model preferred.
