The business operates through a Management Services Organization (MSO) structure, providing centralized support across marketing, technology, and operations for a large, consumer-focused professional services firm. This model enables efficient scaling within a regulated environment through a structured framework. With strong underlying demand, consistent performance, and significant cash flow generation, the platform is well-positioned for continued growth and long-term value creation, representing a modern, scalable approach to professional services.
The CFO will serve as the senior finance leader, partnering closely with the accounting team to lead the close process, transition to GAAP, and manage the complexities of the MSO structure. This individual will build and own the company’s financial model, oversee forecasting and budgeting, and deliver clear, data-driven insights through board reporting. The role also includes managing lender relationships, overseeing audits and tax filings, and owning key operational areas such as insurance, leasing, and vendor negotiations. As a strategic partner to leadership, the CFO will enhance financial visibility, support decision-making, and play a central role in driving long-term value creation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the close process alongside the accounting team, including transition to GAAP and oversight of MSO accounting complexities
- Partner with tax advisors and legal counsel to navigate the tax and structural nuances of the MSO model
- Build and own a detailed, bottoms-up financial model to support forecasting and annual budgeting
- Own all board reporting, delivering clear, data-driven insights and analytics
- Serve as the primary point of contact for lenders, managing all reporting and communication
- Oversee annual audits and tax filings to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Take ownership of insurance, leasing, and key vendor negotiations to support operational efficiency
- Partner closely with leadership to drive financial visibility, performance tracking, and decision-making
- Support strategic initiatives, including potential M&A activity and long-term value creation planning
- Play a key role in preparing the business for a future liquidity event or strategic exit
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; CPA and/or MBA preferred
- 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience
- Strong foundation across both accounting and FP&A; highly analytical and data-driven
- Experience leading GAAP reporting and managing complex accounting structures
- Demonstrated success building financial models, forecasting, and budgeting processes
- Experience managing lender relationships and board-level reporting
- Track record of leading audits and overseeing tax filings
- Hands-on, operationally minded leader who thrives in a lean environment
- Strong executive presence; polished and credible with investors, lenders, and stakeholders
- Collaborative, team-oriented leader with excellent communication and follow-through
- Proven ability to mentor, develop, and scale finance and accounting teams
