What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales and Social Media Coordinator position at Talon Machinery LLC?
Talon Machinery is a small, fast-moving dealership specializing in cars, trucks, and trailers. We are not a corporate environment — we’re a tight team where each person directly impacts sales and growth.
We’re hiring for a hybrid role that combines in-person sales, customer communication, and social media content creation. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable talking to people, moves quickly, and understands how to create content that gets attention.
Schedule: Wednesday through Sunday (full-time)This role allows the business to stay open 7 days a week while maintaining flexibility for the team.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Sales & Customer Interaction
- Respond to Facebook Marketplace and inbound leads quickly
- Move conversations to phone/text and follow up with customers
- Show vehicles and trailers to in-person customers
- Assist with closing deals (cash and rent-to-own)
Lead Management
- Follow up with new and existing leads daily
- Keep communication organized using our phone system
- Work alongside automated follow-up tools to keep leads active
Social Media & Content
- Film inventory walkarounds and short-form videos (Reels/TikTok style)
- Take photos of incoming inventory
- Edit simple videos and schedule posts throughout the week
- Keep listings fresh and consistently updated
What We’re Looking For:
- Comfortable talking to customers in person and over the phone
- Active on social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
- Able to shoot and edit basic video content on a phone
- Moves quickly and responds to messages without delay
- Self-motivated — knows how to stay productive when it’s slow
- Sales experience is a plus, but not required
Compensation:
- Weekly base pay
- Commission on units sold
- Additional incentives based on performance and consistency
Important:This is a performance-based role. The right person can make very good money here, but it requires consistency, responsiveness, and effort. If you’re looking for something slow-paced or highly structured, this is not the position.
