About the Role

As a Quality Manager , you will oversee all aspects of product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Your role will be critical in maintaining high-quality standards, leading the Quality Control team, and ensuring adherence to industry regulations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain customer trust.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Ensure product quality by overseeing quality control processes and making sure all products meet company, customer, and regulatory standards
  • Manage food safety programs by implementing and maintaining HACCP, GMP, and Foreign Supplier Verification Program FSVP to ensure compliance with food safety regulations
  • Maintain Safe Quality Food SQF certification requirements, conduct internal audits, and drive continuous improvements
  • Lead the Quality Control team by managing and mentoring staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations
  • Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, production processes, and finished products to identify and resolve quality issues
  • Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures SOPs to align with best practices, regulatory standards, and company policies
  • Work closely with production, procurement, and sales teams to address quality concerns and enhance processes
  • Investigate and resolve non-conformance issues, customer complaints, and product deviations through corrective and preventive actions CAPAs
  • Maintain accurate compliance records and represent the company during internal and external audits
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, safety, and overall efficiency

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, or a related field
  • Minimum five years of experience in product quality and laboratory environments
  • At least two years of experience as a Quality Manager in the food manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations and industry standards including SQF, HACCP, GMP, FSVP, and PCQI
  • Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in spice manufacturing or a similar food production sector
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and implement effective solutions
  • Hands-on experience with quality audits and compliance documentation
  • Ability to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within a team
  • Proficiency in relevant quality management software or ERP systems
