Import Agent – Air & Ocean

Location: Torrance, California
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $25–$27 per hour

We’re seeking an Import Agent (Air & Ocean) to manage end-to-end import operations and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle Air and Ocean import operations from booking through delivery.
• Coordinate with customers, carriers, trucking companies, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate shipment handling.
• Prepare and review import documentation to maintain full customs compliance.
• Handle consolidated cargo, cross-border moves, and shipment tracking using CargoWise.
• Negotiate and confirm freight and trucking rates with service providers.
• Proactively communicate shipment status updates and resolve any service issues.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 3 years of freight forwarding experience (required).
• Recent Air and Ocean import operations experience (within the last year).
• Proficiency in CargoWise (required).
• Strong understanding of U.S. Customs regulations and import compliance.
• Experience handling international shipments and consolidated cargo.
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Collaborative team player with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
