Senior Systems Engineer
The Colony, TX 75056
We are recruiting for a senior level Systems Engineer to support a heavy travel schedule deploying mission-critical solutions. The Systems Engineer will work directly with customers and lead engineering efforts working with a small team for design, integration, and deployment. Qualified candidates will have expertise supporting a lead role in technical execution ranging from system design through to sustainment.
Travel: Up to 75% travel CONUS and OCONUS
Security: Current DoD clearance is required for consideration
Role and responsibilities include:
- Support field deployment and technical execution for end to end network and compute systems
- Provide hands-on architecture and design expertise including serving as technical authority
- Lead system integration, validation, and field deployment activities
- Serve as primary technical interface to customers and stakeholders
- Lead small engineering teams and drive technical standards
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure mission success
Requirements include:
- U.S. citizen, no dual citizenship
- Current security clearance (secret at a minimum)
- Availability to support extensive CONUS and OCONUS travel
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline; equivalent years of related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- Current CCNA or higher
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering efforts for high profile complex technical environments
- 10-15 years of systems engineering experience including design and architecture level responsibilities
- Expertise with the following technologies:
- Root cause analysis and issue resolution
- Cisco networking including switching, routing, OSPF, GBP
- VMware ESXi
- Linux system administration including CLI, networking, and multi-NIC configuration
- Kubernetes in production environments
- IPv6, VPN, VRF, and PKI implementation
- Space, Weight, and Power (SWaP) analysis for integrated systems
- Ability to interact with customer and stakeholders including technical and non-technical team members
- Availability to support CONUS and OCONUS travel (50-75%)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage schedules and workloads
- Ablity to convey technical information to non-technical team members
