JOB DESCRIPTION

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with project completion and construction turnover. As a subject matter expert, the System Administrator will work closely Operations, Engineering Project Management, and Information Technology (IT) departments to establish and grow Hexagon’s role in the organization.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Checksheet library creation and maintenance for use in project commissioning & turnover
- Proactively monitor system health and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Work closely with other departments to integrate Hexagon SCDB with other systems and tools.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to confirm roadmap and prioritization of continuous improvement.
- Manage all user accounts, respond to user requests, and provide technical support to the field.
- Support application design, coding, and testing of solutions.
- Conduct failure mode and root cause analysis on system failures and downtime when applicable.
- Ensure that corporate data is secured in accordance with IT Security policies.
- Develop and maintain reports in the SCDB report database using the Microsoft Power BI reporting tool.
- Create reports for contact Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Manage preventative maintenance efforts, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, product testing, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. OR
- 10 years experience in oil & gas or related field in leu of degree
- Preference to personnel with Commissioning & Startup project experience.
- Knowledge of industry-specific checksheets (FAT, CAT, SAT, etc.)
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
- Proven experience with a project system completion database (Hexagon Smart Completions experience is ideal, but not required).
- Experience with document management workflows.
- Working knowledge of using SQL and demonstrated experience using SQL with PowerBI.
- Experience working in a regulated environment and change management.
- Demonstrated experience in working independently.
- Good written and verbal communication skills to support multiple teams/users.
- Has, or can achieve, one of the following certifications:
- Certification – Hexagon SCDB Administrator
- Certification – Hexagon Developer
- Strongly prefer direct experience with Integrated Completions & Comissioning Service applications
- Knowledge of Jira Service Management
- Understanding of pipeline operations and engineering workflows.
- Project management experience.
- Experience with other Hexagon software products (e.g., SDx, SmartPlant).
- Microsoft Azure DevOps experience.
- Experience in system and network security.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to lead teams and large solutions.
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to quickly diagnose, troubleshoot, and remedy technical and performance problems.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Strong written and oral communication skills both technically and with business stakeholders
- Must be a self-starter and analytical problem solver.
- Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, regulatory and Company tariff requirements.
