Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC machining centers to produce parts according to specifications.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust parameters for optimal performance.
- Perform routine inspections using precision measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, and other precision instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
- Maintain safety standards in accordance with factory protocols while handling machinery such as press brake machines, stamping presses, and fabrication tools.
- Collaborate with team members on materials handling, tooling setup, assembly line tasks, and packaging processes to meet production goals.
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages and CAM programming for efficient machine operation.
- Experience operating various industrial equipment including Fanuc controls, press brake machines, stamping presses, and flexo presses.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, GD&T principles, and precision measurement instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
- Familiarity with CAD software like SolidWorks for part design review and modifications.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues on CNC machinery and perform basic repairs or adjustments.
- Understanding of safety standards in manufacturing environments to ensure a secure workplace.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse operations, materials handling, fabrication techniques, tooling setup, welding, and assembly processes.
- Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during machining tasks.
- Experience working in manufacturing facilities or factory environments with a focus on quality control and continuous improvement.
