Tallahassee State College is thrilled to announce a full-time grant-funded opening for the position of Pre-Release Employment Navigator with DOC – Escambia—Jefferson Counties. We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant workplace community.

What You’ll Do
As a Pre-Release Employment Navigator, you will report to the lead educator or Assistant Warden and play a key role in delivering services through cell-front and/or congregate settings. The services provided shall include:
As a Pre-Release Employment Navigator, you will report to the lead educator or Assistant Warden and play a key role in delivering services through cell-front and/or congregate settings. The services provided shall include:
- Provides in-person and virtual facilitation of workshops and training relative to employability and life skills.
- Provides administration and interpretation of assessments.
- Maintains and provides documentation of services delivered.
- Facilitates pre-release connections with community providers and employers through face-to-face and technology-based interactions to include pre-release job search, recruitment, and placement activities.

- An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university or a high school diploma, and Two (2) years of professional experience in the workforce development, social services or corrections field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.
- Preference given to candidates with an associate’s degree and one year of experience in the social services or corrections field.
