OPS Front Desk Staff Opportunity
Tallahassee State College (TSC), recently recognized as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025, is excited to announce a part-time opportunity for the position of OPS Front Desk Staff with the Learning Commons Department. We are seeking a dedicated professional who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant workplace community.
What You’ll Do
This position will be responsible for serving as the welcoming face of the Learning Commons, providing warm, responsive, and student-centered customer service to students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors. Front desk team members manage incoming calls, direct inquiries appropriately, and initiate outbound communication when necessary. They play a vital role in connecting students with available services and staff, offering guidance to campus resources and Learning Commons support. Additionally, they oversee the service queue, efficiently triaging student needs to ensure timely and effective assistance
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, up to 25 hours per week; Must be available at least 12 hours weekly.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but is also friendly and holds a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will at least hold a high school diploma and demonstrate a strong interest in customer service, with aspirations to potentially transition into a tutoring role in future semesters. While prior customer service experience is preferred, it is not required. A curiosity for technical tools and a keen interest in AI innovation are highly valued, as we aim to foster a forward-thinking environment that embraces the future of learning.
