Administrative Assistant

What You’ll Do
This position performs a variety of clerical/secretarial and administrative support functions of a moderate scope and complexity requiring exercising considerable judgment and initiative.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Assists with the preparation and processing of forms including mail forms, print shop requests, supply orders, maintenance requests, and library requests. Distributes mail to full time and adjunct faculty Demonstrate resourcefulness and creativity in meeting job objectives by following through on assignments and adapting ideas, methods, or procedures to address changing circumstances and overcome obstacles.
- Attend professional development classes and seminars.
- Performs general clerical work for the faculty. Maintains inventory of office supplies.
- Serves as first contact with visitors and students in History and Social Sciences Division. Provides information about services and operation of the areas and the division. Answers telephone and screens calls for full-time and adjunct faculty or takes messages. Refers callers to appropriate areas on campus.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- High School Diploma or equivalent, AA degree preferred.
- Two (2) years of secretarial and /or clerical experience; or a combination of education and/or experience.
