Tallahassee Nurseries is looking for enthusiastic and dependable individuals to join our team in The Cottage Gift Shop at Tallahassee Nurseries as a seasonal employee. If you're passionate about gardening, décor, and providing exceptional customer service, we would love to meet you! Help us make this a memorable experience for our customers by assisting with products and plant sales in a dynamic and friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with replenishing and arranging products, plants, and seasonal décor to keep our gift shop looking fresh and inviting.
- Provide knowledgeable product recommendations and guidance to help customers find what they need.
- Keep displays clean, attractive, and well-organized, ensuring our wide variety of products are beautifully showcased.
- Ensure a friendly atmosphere so all visitors feel welcomed and valued.
- Work collaboratively with the team to keep the shop tidy and maintain smooth operations throughout the day.
- Accurately process sales and handle register transactions in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail, customer service, or design experience is preferred; however, we are happy to train the right candidate.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Punctual, reliable, and consistent attendance.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to provide customer service both in person and over the phone, and handle inquiries professionally.
- Comfortable working outdoors and during busy seasonal periods.
- Ability to operate a cash register accurately.
- A positive, professional attitude and work ethic.
