What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide position at Talladega Health and Rehab?
We are currently looking for qualified applicants in our Dietary Department. You would be helping to prepare a delicious meals for our residents and our staff. Bending, reaching, standing, pulling, lifting, pushing and stooping will be required.
Job Title: Dietary Aide
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to dietary guidelines and recipes provided
- Ensure the quality and presentation of food meets the standards set by the facility
- Assist with menu planning and meal preparation for special events and catering
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with dietary staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a cook in a healthcare or similar setting is preferred
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and special diets is a plus
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
