Brief Description
Job Title: Slot Technician I (varied shift)
Department: Slots
Reports To: Slot Technology Manager
Summary
Provides prompt and courteous guest service as it relates to slot machines and slot system components. The Slot Technician I will support slot technical staff on projects, routine maintenance and periodic inventories. This position is responsible for cleaning machines and peripheral gaming equipment which includes updating software on validators and printers. The Slot Technician II and III positions are responsible for repairing and maintaining gaming machines and systems and providing technical expertise on set-up and configuration of hardware, peripherals and software. A Slot Technician III may also provide high level repairs on monitors, power supplies, bill validators and other related devices. These positions will ensure proper installation, set-up, and configuration by verification of settings with the slot master, slot system and documentation; may also provide basic support for network and related system issues. Every Technician is to follow all company policies and departmental procedures and is responsible for adhering to State and Tribal compliance based on Compact Standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities
These positions have no supervisory responsibilities.

General Duties And Responsibilities
High School diploma or GED required. Basic technical or gaming experience preferred.
Computer Skills
Must have basic PC skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft Operating Systems.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

General Duties And Responsibilities
- Keeps abreast of all department communications (i.e. email, malfunction logs, shift logs, voice mail and wireless telephones) daily to efficiently perform duties and provide documentation as required.
- Ensures the privacy and confidentiality of all information pertaining to the set up and performance of any gaming device and/or slot projects.
- Maintains knowledge of department policies and procedures including those pertaining to federal, state, and tribal regulatory laws and guidelines as related to slot operations.
- Exercises appropriate discretion in identifying situations that require management attention.
- Handles and secures keys within department guidelines.
- Builds rapport and coordinates daily functions with Slot Operations, tribal regulatory body (CRA), state gaming officials (ADG), Compliance, vendors and other company departments.
- Works with slot management to detect and prevent attempts to cheat or damage gaming equipment and to identify floor irregularities and reports to slot supervisors or senior slot management.
- Maintains good communication with team members and a positive and professional work environment.
- Demonstrates outstanding guest service demeanor and conduct at all times.
- Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
- Cleans gaming machines per routine maintenance schedule or as directed.
- Cleans bill validators, ticket printers and other related gaming equipment.
- Maintains peripheral software as updates become approved and released.
- Assists with slot projects, as directed, with installation of locks, player tracking, slot bases and any other associated equipment.
- Performs periodic inventory of parts and equipment.
- Routinely strives to build and maintain working relationships with technicians through interactions and team building exercises.
- Maintains slot shop and storage cleanliness and organization as directed by Slot Technology Manager and/or Slot Operations Manager.
