Summary
Engages in the procurement and purchasing of food and beverage, materials, supplies, equipment, and services for the casino enterprise.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
HS/GED required; some college education in purchasing, business, or related field preferred; four years professional experience in the purchase of food and beverage and materials/services for a large organization / company is required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
A.P.P. certification preferred.
Computer Skills
Must have excellent PC skills. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of standard accounting software; inventory software; automated order processing systems; MS Word and Excel skills required. Experience with Stratten Warren (SWS) is preferred.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- May be assigned purchasing duties in general services, marketing, or food & beverage.
- Develops and expands the vendor base. Resolves problems between the company and the vendor.
- Analyzes purchasing data and makes recommendations to departments for savings, product consolidation, and product improvements.
- Identifies vendors for specific needs and selects them appropriately based upon price/delivery/quality requirements.
- Edits purchase requisitions for accuracy and creates purchase orders from approved purchase requisitions.
- Identifies and expedites materials and services needed to sustain casino operations.
- Reconciles purchasing records with accounts payable invoices.
- Negotiates contracts for materials and services.
- Ensures purchases are from an approved vendor.
- Complies with Community Regulatory Agency directives.
- Adheres to all company safety policies, procedures and responsibilities concerning accident prevention including reporting any safety concerns to a supervisor immediately.
