Overview
Talisman Civil Consultants is a full-service civil engineering and land survey firm in Salt Lake City. We are currently seeking a Survey Crew Chief to add to our growing Talisman team. The position is based in our Salt Lake City office, with typical sites across the Wasatch front, nearby areas and occasional travel beyond the region.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled and passionate self-starter to work directly with high-profile utility, construction and land development projects, shaping the lands of Utah. The Survey Crew Chief will work within a highly collaborative, fun-loving, busy work environment. They are responsible for conducting field survey activities that will include: construction layout, boundary surveys, utility surveys, topography in rugged terrain, control networks, and as-built surveying on a wide variety of projects. The ideal candidate should be prepared to adapt to Talisman survey standards as well as our clients various standards for survey work and be willing and eager to educate and train entry level staff to one day be able to fill this position.
Travel expenses are paid, and a company truck is provided. This position will also require close coordination with Talisman’s Civil Engineering staff as well.
This is a long-term career opportunity for the right candidate. Prior experience as a field crew survey chief with construction staking on large buildings, roadways, and sites using traditional and HDS survey required. Salary commensurate with experience.
Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
