Senior Budget Analyst

Our client is seeking a Sr Budget Analyst / Budget Advisor to support the U.S. Navy within the Office of the Director of Administration (DIRAD). The ideal candidate brings 5 years of DoD budgeting experience, strong knowledge of Navy ERP and PBIS, and proven expertise in PPBE. This onsite role at the Pentagon requires a current DoD Secret Clearance.

What makes this role unique is that this isn’t a hands-on budget role. This role requires someone to become a trusted advisor who is able to work with leadership and innovate their PPBE practices and help identify and address current budget challenges.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 5 years of Federal PPBE or commercial equivalent experience
• 5 years of DoD or DON budget-related experience
• Hands-on knowledge of Navy ERP and PBIS
• Strong executive presence, analytical skills, and communication ability

• Advise SES-level leadership within the Navy on budget and PPBE priorities
• Collaborate with leadership to enhance Navy PPBE practices
• Lead best-practice development and financial process innovation
• Oversee deliverables and quality control for budget execution projects
• Mentor and support a small project team
• Manage required contractual and financial reporting
