Job Description
Primary Focus: Automotive Client’s Electronic Order Guide / Content Management Tool Rebuild
The urgent driver of this hire is the compliance-driven rebuild of client's internal Content Management Tool (CMT), which supports a 30-year program used by dealerships across a number of brands. The rebuild involves transitioning legacy Java/Oracle infrastructure to a modern cloud-based environment and must be completed by year-end. Two experienced developers are already in place and largely self-directed. This person's job is to own the backlog, drive sprint cadence, manage stakeholder relationships, and keep a complex, multi-track effort on schedule and on budget.
Program Management
- Own the day-to-day execution of the CMT rebuild, including backlog management, sprint planning, timeline tracking, and budget monitoring, bring structure and prioritization to ongoing platform backlogs, particularly for LiveGuide, client's proprietary digital signage CMS powering thousands of screens across retail locations nationwide
- Maintain visibility into program timelines, priorities, and deliverables across active workstreams
- Coordinate across teams to ensure consistent progress and alignment
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain working relationships with the client-side stakeholder team in Troy, MI, many of whom are long-tenured subject matter experts deeply familiar with the automotive client’s program
- Translate business and compliance requirements into actionable development priorities
- Communicate progress, surface blockers, and manage expectations across internal and remote teams
- Serve as the central communication bridge between developers, internal leadership, and Detroit-area stakeholders
Project and Sprint Management
- Organize work into structured sprints and maintain active task boards in Jira
- Lead sprint planning, standups, and review meetings
- Ensure tasks are clearly defined, assigned, and tracked to completion
- Identify blockers early and coordinate resources to resolve them quickly
Budget and Risk Monitoring
- Track project budgets and resource allocation across programs
- Monitor burn against approved budgets and flag risks early
- Escalate budget concerns, scope changes, or delivery risks to the Digital Operations Manager
Platform Oversight
- Support ongoing maintenance and release cycles for LiveGuide and other internal platforms
- Help shift platform management from reactive maintenance to a structured, forward-looking roadmap approach
- Ensure platforms remain stable, compliant, and aligned with evolving organizational needs

Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience managing a large, complex digital product or software initiative with significant moving parts, a defined budget, and real stakes
- Experience working in sprint-based development environments; Jira proficiency required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Ability to communicate clearly and credibly with both technical developers and non-technical business stakeholders
- Experience managing remote or client-side stakeholder relationships
- Conceptual familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud); you don't need to work in these environments hands-on, but should be able to hold an informed conversation about them
- Experience managing ongoing programs, not only one-time project launches
Nice to Haves:
- Background in software product ownership or digital platform management
- Experience with enterprise tools, SaaS products, or distributed digital applications
- Familiarity with legacy-to-cloud migrations or compliance-driven development timelines
- Familiarity with digital signage systems or automotive industry programs
