TITLE: Warehouse Inventory Associate
LOCATION: Houston, TX
POSITION REPORTS TO: Distribution Center Manager, Operations
SCHEDULE: Hours TBD by manager. Nights, weekends and overtime periodically.
COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience, position and location
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform physical inventory cycle counts
· Responsible for validating incoming goods and recording documentation
· Inspect, verify, and organize stock throughout the warehouse
· Keep data integrity organized and updated
· Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with established safety procedures and practices
· Investigate cycle count variances and resolve issues
· Responsible for recording and tracking all documents relating to the physical inventories
· Report on variances and their root causes, focusing on process improvement
· Responsible for tank inventory and yard trailer inventory; daily reconciliation
· Data entry; manual inventory counts into SAP
· Communicate with terminals, hubs, supply chain and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies
· Analyze and record gains, losses
· Provide support for yearly audit
· Other tasks as assigned by manager
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
· Must have warehouse inventory related experience
· Must be local (live within 60 miles)
· Advanced mathematical skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent organizational and analytical skills
· High attention to detail
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including spelling and grammar
· Valid driver’s license, and a good driving record
· Courteous and professional demeanor
· Ability to lift heavy objects (minimum 15 lbs.)
· Must be able to work overtime, nights, weekends
· Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions
PREFERRED
· SAP Experience
· Experience in the Oil and Gas industry
· 1 year inventory experience
