There is also a Certification Pay Benefit. Staff can add an additional $1.00/hr for Techs and $2.00/hr for RNs if they have an approved certification. These are certs that go beyond those required for their position and are relevant to their work at the hospital.
Additional Information:
Shift times: 7a – 7:30p (12 hr shifts)
Must have experience – RN and AK lic required
3yr exp Cath or 5 yrs exp in high acuity setting (eg. ICU,
Exp Circulating, Monitoring and Sedation medication (exp mixing sedation drips)
No mapping exp needed (performed by 3rd party company)
Unit Beds/ rooms: 3 rooms, average 4-6 procedures per day

Job Summary
As a highly-skilled and compassionate Cath-Lab Nurse you will provide assistance with all invasive cardiac, vascular and interventional procedures. You will demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care. You will be part of a team that pulls together to provide a quality patient care experience. We are seeking passionate individuals who are ready to take their career to the next level! In this role:
- You will be responsible for all testing and therapeutics that takes place in the Cath lab. These procedures include but are not limited to: cardiac catheterizations and/or coronary interventions, EP device and ablation therapies, interventional radiology, neuro diagnostic/interventions, endovascular procedures, and structural Heart (LAAC, TAVR) procedures.
- You will facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care. Uses appropriate SBAR process for hand-off communication.
- You will assist the patient through all aspects of the procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure, patient monitoring, and hemostasis following removal of catheter or sheath, and return to room. Manages emergent cases.
- You will maintain accurate, timely and compliant patient records. Completes all paperwork associated with these procedures and prepares tests for physician interpretation.
- You will demonstrate an ability to be flexible, organized and function well under stressful situations
- You will collaborate with fellow members of the team and orient and needed.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license in good standing
- Associate’s Degree in nursing required, bachelor’s preferred
- Two to three years of Cath Lab experience. Emergency Room / ICU experience preferred.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS)
