Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)
Location: Providence, RI 02907 (Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite/Week)
Pay Rate: $65 - $70/Hour on W2 (without benefits)

- Former Lineman or Substation professional with hands-on field experience.
- Strong technical mindset with ability to write and standardize procedures.
Job Overview:
- Seeking a Construction Methods Specialist with a strong utility field background to develop and standardize construction procedures across transmission, distribution, and substation operations.
- This role focuses on improving safety, compliance, and efficiency through technical documentation and field-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update construction procedures, job aids, and work methods
- Collaborate with field SMEs, safety, and training teams
- Support new equipment/process implementation and ensure safe operation standards
- Lead mock-ups and simulations for procedure and training development
- Drive adoption of procedures through presentations and stakeholder engagement
- Support technology initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- Participate in emergency/storm response as needed
Required Skills/Experience:
- 5 years of electric utility field experience (Lineman/Substation preferred)
- OR Bachelor’s in a technical field 2 years utility field experience
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
- Ability to translate field work into standardized procedures
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
