Key Responsibilities
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on commercial solar PV systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and system performance issues, including inverters, switchgear, and communications systems
- Execute repairs, replacements, and system upgrades in a safe and code-compliant manner
- Interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and construction documents to plan and execute work
- Complete installations including conduit, wiring, terminations, and equipment setup
- Respond to occasional emergency service calls
- Prepare daily field reports, including detailed documentation of issues and resolutions
- Coordinate with internal teams, customers, and vendors to ensure seamless service delivery
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior technicians and trainees
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and safety equipment in excellent condition
- 5–10 years of experience in electrical, construction, or related technical field
- Strong troubleshooting experience with electrical systems and components
- Ability to install, repair, and maintain electrical distribution systems (transformers, panels, switchboards, etc.)
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical documentation
- Familiarity with low-voltage systems, communications, and controls (PLC experience is a plus)
- Proficient with digital reporting tools, mobile devices, and standard software platforms
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physically demanding work in field environments
- Solar O&M and service experience, including inverter platforms (SMA, Chint, Delta, etc.)
- Experience with monitoring systems (AlsoEnergy PowerTrack or similar)
- NFPA 70E certification
- Experience with ERP, ticketing, or service management systems
- Self-motivated and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Safety-first mindset with attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
