Position Summary

A well-established commercial general contractor in Phoenix is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead field operations on tenant improvement (TI), interior fit-out, and small-to-mid-scale commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for onsite coordination, schedule execution, subcontractor management, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all onsite construction activities for tenant improvement and interior fit-out projects
• Manage day-to-day coordination of subcontractors, trades, and suppliers
• Maintain and drive project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met
• Enforce site safety in compliance with OSHA and company standards
• Conduct daily site walks, quality control inspections, and progress tracking
• Coordinate inspections, permits, and approvals with local authorities
• Review drawings, specifications, and RFIs to ensure accurate execution
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers on budgets, schedules, and reporting
• Lead site meetings, including subcontractor coordination and safety briefings
• Resolve field issues proactively to minimize delays and cost impacts
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
• Strong experience with tenant improvement, renovations, and interior build-outs
• Proven ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
• Solid understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and sequencing
• Knowledge of local Phoenix building codes and permitting processes
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Experience delivering projects in occupied environments
• Background in retail, office, healthcare, or restaurant fit-outs
• OSHA 30 certification
• Stable work history with reputable general contractors
