What are the responsibilities and job description for the EA to Founder | Austin | On-Site | HUGE POTENTIAL position at TALENTSMITHS?
A founder in Austin is building something very exciting. Something intentional. Something that is going to make a difference, have a huge impact and is going to grow.
Very fast.
The vision is clear. The capital is in place. What's missing is the infrastructure, the operations, and the systems that turn an idea into something that actually runs.
That's where this role comes in.
This is a ground-floor Executive Assistant position. You won't inherit processes. You'll create them. You'll build the operational rhythm of how this founder works as the business takes shape around you.
You'll be in the room for decisions that matter. You'll see the early chaos before it becomes the story everyone hears later.
You’ll be building the infrastructure, including:
• Designing how this founder operates. Calendar, travel, comms. None of it exists yet. You'll build it.
• Being the first filter. Deciding what reaches the founder and what doesn't. That's judgment, not admin.
• Keeping early chaos from becoming permanent chaos. Vendors, partners, early hires. You'll be the connective tissue.
• Solving problems that don't have names yet. The role will shift. The priorities will change. You'll figure it out anyway.
• Protecting the founder's time so they can build. That's the job underneath all the other jobs.
To be in the room, you’ll need:
• Proven experience supporting a founder or dynamic principal
• Based in Austin or willing to relocate
• On-site, in the room. This is not a remote role.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-moving priorities
• Strong judgement. You don't wait to be told what needs doing.

If you want structure, a playbook, and predictable days, this isn't it.
If you want to help build something from nothing, be part of the story from day one, and do work you'll look back on in five years as a turning point, this could be exactly what you're looking for.
