The Role

The Plant Manager will take ownership of day-to-day operations across a small production environment, with the goal to bring structure, discipline, and consistency to the floor.

This is a hands-on role for a manufacturing leader who can ramp quickly, operate independently, and drive operational improvements through strong execution and leadership. The focus is on improving production consistency, strengthening on-time delivery performance, and creating a more efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production & Operations
  • Own daily production and ensure work flows efficiently across processes
  • Plan, schedule, and execute work to meet output targets
  • Improve on-time delivery and overall production consistency
  • Production Planning & Scheduling
  • Build and manage a structured production planning process
  • Sequence work effectively to avoid delays and bottlenecks
  • Process & Workflow Improvement
  • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures
  • Identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement
  • Establish and track KPIs related to output, quality, and delivery
  • ERP System
  • Improve use of the ERP system to support scheduling and production tracking
  • Optimize system setup to enable better planning and visibility
  • Reduce reliance on manual processes
  • Team Leadership & Accountability
  • Lead and manage a production team in a hands-on environment
  • Set clear expectations and hold individuals accountable for performance
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Improve coordination between production and support functions
  • Ensure materials, inputs, and priorities align with production schedules
  • Quality, Safety & Maintenance
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer expectations while maintaining a safe working environment

Qualifications

  • Required
  • 10 years of experience in manufacturing or production leadership
  • Hands-on experience in a production environment (e.g., machining, fabrication, or similar)
  • Proven ability to manage production flow, including planning and scheduling
  • Experience implementing process improvements and driving change
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of accountability
  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Preferred
  • Familiarity with structured quality environments
  • Exposure to process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Experience in small to mid-sized manufacturing environments

  • On-site, hands-on role in a manufacturing environment
  • Single shift operation

Compensation

Competitive base salary plus bonus opportunity and benefits
