Senior DevOps Engineer — On-Site (Boca Raton, FL)

A fast-growing company in the telecom industry is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to help build and support the infrastructure behind large-scale, distributed platforms. This role focuses on improving system reliability, performance, and security while collaborating closely with multiple engineering teams working on advanced network and edge technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across Kubernetes and major cloud providers.
• Ensure strong reliability, availability, and security across production environments.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to streamline build, testing, and release processes.
• Manage observability tooling, including metrics, logging, and alerting systems.
• Lead response and resolution for infrastructure-related incidents and long-term improvements.
• Support teams building distributed and network-centric applications.
• Implement mature security practices across IAM, network architecture, and secrets management.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and runbooks.
• Contribute to multi-region, highly scalable platform design.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or SRE roles supporting distributed systems.
• Strong hands-on background with major cloud platforms and production Kubernetes environments.
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools.
• Skilled in automation and scripting using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Experience working with distributed systems, clustering, and high-throughput environments.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
• Understanding of GitOps concepts and related tools.
• Strong grounding in cloud security, networking fundamentals, and secure systems design.
• Experience in fast-paced technology environments; telecom or network infrastructure experience is a plus.

Preferred Certifications

• Cloud and Kubernetes certifications (AWS, GCP, CKA, etc.) are highly valued.

Location Requirement

• This is an on-site role based in Boca Raton, Florida, requiring in-office presence. Candidates outside the area should be prepared to relocate or commute regularly.
