Network Engineer (FTTH / Service Provider) – South Florida
We are supporting a network engineering opportunity focused on the design and deployment of a broadband infrastructure project in South Florida. This role involves hands-on work across fiber access, core network integration, and transport within a service provider environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and implementation of FTTH networks (GPON / XGS-PON)
- Configure and integrate access network equipment, including OLT platforms
- Contribute to core network design, including routing, subscriber management, and service enablement
- Support transport network integration between access sites and core infrastructure
- Assist with network turn-up, testing, and commissioning activities
- Develop configuration templates, IP addressing plans, and VLAN architecture
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors during deployment and integration
Required Experience
- Experience within a service provider, telecom, or broadband environment
- Hands-on experience with FTTH technologies (GPON or XGS-PON)
- Familiarity with OLT platforms (e.g., Nokia, Calix, Adtran)
- Experience with routing protocols such as BGP and MPLS
- Understanding of subscriber management (BNG, CGNAT, or similar)
- Experience supporting network deployment, integration, or turn-up
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with end-to-end broadband network deployments
- Familiarity with transport networks (Ethernet, wavelength, or fiber backhaul)
- Exposure to IPoE / PPPoE subscriber environments
- Strong troubleshooting and validation skills
