Deliver Packages Using Your Own Vehicle

We are hiring dependable delivery drivers for a FedEx Ground Alternative Vehicle Program (AVP) operation in the Oklahoma City area.

This position is a great fit for reliable, self-motivated drivers who enjoy working independently and want to make deliveries using their own qualifying vehicle.

You will pick up assigned packages, organize your route, and deliver packages safely and efficiently to residential and/or business customers throughout your assigned Oklahoma City-area territory.

What You’ll Do

·         Pick up and load your assigned packages

·         Organize packages for an efficient delivery route

·         Deliver FedEx Ground packages to customers

·         Follow assigned delivery and navigation instructions

·         Scan packages and record deliveries accurately

·         Handle packages carefully and professionally

·         Maintain safe driving practices throughout your route

·         Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery issues or exceptions

Complete your assigned route each scheduled day

What You’ll Need

Applicants should:

·         Be at least 21 years old

·         Have a valid driver’s license

·         Have a safe driving record

·         Have a reliable qualifying vehicle

·         Have a smartphone with reliable data service

·         Be comfortable driving throughout the Oklahoma City metro area

·         Be able to safely lift and handle packages associated with the assigned AVP route

·         Be dependable and able to work independently

·         Be able to pass applicable background, motor vehicle record, and driver qualification requirements

Final eligibility is subject to applicable FedEx Ground/service-provider qualification requirements.

Vehicle Requirements

Drivers will use their own vehicle for deliveries.

Preferred vehicles include:

·         SUVs

·         Minivans

·         Larger crossovers

·         Other approved vehicles with adequate cargo space

Your vehicle must be reliable, safe to operate, properly registered, and meet all applicable insurance and program requirements.

Vehicle approval is required before beginning deliveries.

Compensation

Pay: $1.75 per stop (80 stops =$140 per day)

Example:

Drivers who organize their vehicles efficiently, maintain good attendance, and complete routes consistently may have opportunities for additional delivery volume.

Schedule

Typical delivery days:

7 days per week available

start time: 9:30 am

Drivers generally finish when their assigned route is completed.

Any packages not delivered, coded properly or returned will be a $2.00 penalty per package.

Availability requirements: minimum 3 shifts per week
