Key Responsibilities
- Teach engaging science lessons to Grades 1–5
- Simplify concepts using playful, interactive techniques
- Foster curiosity, teamwork, and participation
- Maintain a positive classroom environment (up to 20 students)
- Encourage students to ask questions and think creatively
We’re Looking For Someone Who Is
⭐ Fun, engaging, and able to build trust with young learners
⭐ Experienced in teaching or working with elementary-aged children
⭐ Knowledgeable about STEM concepts
⭐ Creative, patient, and adaptable
⭐ A clear communicator with strong organizational skills
⭐ Comfortable leading hands-on, activity-based classes
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience working with children
- At least 2 years of college education
- Effective classroom management skills
- Ability to pass a background check and TB test
- Reliable transportation to school sites
- Ability to occasionally lift 20–50 lbs., with or without accommodations
Compensation
$25–$32 per hour, with 3 paid hours per class covering lesson review, prep, coordination, teaching time, and dismissal procedures.
You will be expected to arrive 20–30 minutes early and remain until all students have been picked up.
Schedule
After-school hours: Typically 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Start with 1–3 days per week (Monday–Friday)
