Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure accurate financial reporting under U.S. GAAP.
- Oversee general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
- Develop and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls as the company scales.
- Own the finance side of the ERP system, improving processes, reporting, data integrity, and system functionality.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and other financial planning initiatives.
- Manage external audit relationships and coordinate annual audits and financial reviews.
- Oversee tax and payroll accounting activities and related compliance requirements.
- Manage accounting for equity programs and employee stock plans.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes and build scalable financial infrastructure.
- Lead and develop accounting team members while establishing effective processes and priorities.
- Partner with executive leadership on financial performance, business decisions, fundraising, and growth initiatives.
Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Active CPA license
- 7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Manufacturing industry experience
- Proven leadership experience managing, mentoring, and developing accounting teams
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Proven experience leading month-end and year-end close processes
- Experience with ERP systems and financial process improvement
- Experience managing external audits and working with outside accounting advisors
- Strong Excel and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with executive leadership.
